As co-founder of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and part owner of several racing teams, James A. Allison, a renowned inventor, innovator and businessman, established a precision machinery shop and experimental plant on Main Street in the Speedway, which he named the Allison Experimental Company, to support his auto racing endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur company was built on a foundation of innovation, quality and reliability,\u201d said Dewey. \u201cEven though it\u2019s been 100 years, I\u2019m proud to say that these values remain our guiding principles to this day.
