In the fall of 2010, on the 10th anniversary of the Szentgotth\u00e1rd factory, it was announced that Allison Transmission Ltd., in addition to expanding its capacities in Hungary, would establish a completely new production hall, which would begin production in the summer of 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allison will continue to manufacture automatic transmissions in the city on the R\u00e1ba River, but will move from the Opel factory to another 12-hectare area of the industrial park, which has just been purchased, to enable the expansion of engine production, which was also recently announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to plans, 30,000 - 36,000 automatic transmissions will be produced in the new facility per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
