The first vehicle from the 8-unit Boschung JetBroom airport snow removal fleet, for which our company supplies Allison automatic torque converters, has been completed.
The machine offers many unique features in terms of both the drivetrain and its auxiliary equipment. The vehicle is equipped with 2 2000 Nm Mercedes Tier 3 engines, of which the one in the nose is paired with our Allison 4000 series transmission. A new solution is the additional pump built on the automatic transmission, driven back from the cardan shaft, which can ensure the operation of the steering servo in emergency mode.
The cleaning of airport runways is carried out using a combination of high-performance air blowers, in addition to pusher blades and rotating brushes.
